Game Content
Power Network Tycoon is a power grid simulation and strategy game where you build and maintain high-voltage power networks. Construct infrastructure, monitor resources, research upgrades, and adapt to environmental challenges while keeping up with the growing energy demands of your island community.
Power
The core component of the game. The power generator creates high voltage power from oil. Substations convert high voltage power to low voltage power. Poles and conductors connect between generators and substations to power loads.
Power Factor
Manage the power factor on your network to optimise and prevent catastrophic failures!
Research
You’ve been given the basics to get your island started, but to make it more advanced, withstand the challenges of the environment and the demand of your community you’ll need to research new technologies and upgrades.
Oil
Liquid gold. You’ll need lots of it to supply power to your community. Power oil pumps, monitor your oil reserves, order shipments or get air drops in emergencies!
Green Energy
Want to provide power to your community without the guilt that comes with using oil? Be environmentally friendly by researching green energy options including solar, wind and batteries.
Financials
Building a power network costs money and man power. Manage your funds, negotiate with workers on strike and grow your GDP. A profitable island community is a happy island community.
Community
Community satisfaction is essential for growth, the happier your community the more it grows, the more it grows the more the cash flows! Inform them of important works, how to be energy efficient, and reassure them after crisis with community notices.
Weather
The forces of nature are unpredictable and can wreak havoc on your power network. Stay updated with weather forecasts and plan for extreme weather events like heat waves, storms, and blizzards.
Industry Tools
The regulator keeps you in check and makes sure you are building a safe power network. Use the EMF Meter to check readings and build shields to protect citizens. The IR camera identifies hot spots. Implement grounding through the GPR design tool + more!
Game Play Modes
Mission Mode
Missions will be assigned to you by the Regulator throughout the game, complete these missions for rewards like more funds or science points for research.
Hardcore Mode
Mission mode but a lot harder, fail one mission and that’s it, the game is over!
Free Play and Creative Modes
Relax in the free play and creative modes. Free play allows you to play without missions. In creative mode everything is unlocked and free, meaning you get to build your power network however you like!
Tutorials
Tutorials make the game easier to understand and easier to play. Watch the videos or play along with the step by step guide. Learn the basics before taking on greater challenges.
Map Editor
Customise procedurally generated maps by changing the size, choose your biome, alter the the terrain, modify the density of buildings, the possibilities are endless!
